Hubert's paper clock

I am hoping to make a paper clock at next weeks Wac club, because life really is to short. Huburt has sent us a fantastic clock that he has crafted on his journeys over seas, I love it.

Clock finally finished.

I am rather proud.

It has several features that elevate it above the norm.
1. Smells strongly of cheese & fish, thus easy to find in the dark.
2. No nasty clockwork. You adjust the hands/sardines to the time you
want it to be.
3. Strong nautical theme. Appliqued with portraits of the 20th
century’s favourite pirate.
4. Topped by Fat-Lawrence-llewellyn-Bowen-child-figurine trumpet alarm.
Silent so easily ignored.

Povo recipes

Povo cakes

We all need a treat now and then but because you’re a povo you can’t afford cocaine or trips to Egypt. A good substitute is to give you a short term boost is povo cakes, inexpensive blobs of sunshine that will keep you out of trouble for at least an hour.

Quarter of a margarine tub

About the same amount in sugar

Rub em together
Add two eggs
Add bout the same amount of flour as sugar
Rub together
There u have your cake paste.
Blob into cake cases

Gas mark 5 in the oven done in 20 minutes.

Toppings

U might be too povo to make a topping, but on those rare occasions you find some change lying around your house share run out and purchase some milky bars as I did, I melted it up and added a touch of blue poster paint and literarily wiped it onto the fragile buns as you can see. They look absolutely delicious!

Povo Recipes

Mumrah lentil pie

If you are permanently on a budget and living the life of a povo like me, then inexpensive recipes are always welcome. I like cooking because it takes up time that I would otherwise just be boozing and creating situations to ruin my own life, it blocks that black hole of temptation for at least an hour.

This recipe probably costs about £1.50 brought to you by MUMRAH the ever living.

What you will need
Short crust pastry
Flatmate tin of tomatoes
Flatmate garlic
Flatmate mates lentils
One onion
1 egg
Stolen veggie stock
And half a block of cheese

To-do

Chop onion, brown in pan, boil kettle, add stock to a cup of boiled water,

Stir in red lentils and add stock water stir, cook for a bit, add cheese more hot water and an egg simmer for a bit

Role out pastry grease up pans and put pastry in put in filling put in ovens.

Now you are ready to enjoy a glass of council pop and close your piggy eyes for 15 mins, when u awake your pie is done cool to serve.

The lazy susan Otopuss

Hi Kevvers,
So here is little octi, he is about 8 or 9" big.
He is made from 1 whole ball of wool, quite bright orange and so I hope you can see him properly, the camera was freaking out at the colour. I love the colour though it reminds me of handknitted jumpers from when I was little!
You can see how he could be a spider if he was black too!

I wanna make one with longer legs too but basically you  wind a whole ball of wool around two sticks (say 2 legs on a stool) the simply tie off his head in two places, then cut the wool at the top to make his hairdo and cut it at the bottom to make his legs, split legs into 8 and plait them!
My friend says she got the eyes really cheap from Wilkinsons in East ham- 75p for loads!
Usually they are much more expensive.
Maybe if I make another or if you wanted me to teach you could take photos step-by-step of the process??
You can see he is settling in well with his new friends- Mrs Mills, little black girl and Frog-face!

Some Time in August

Well it was the first night of Wacca Wacca and what a success! We kick started the evening with Long introduction's I gave a formal speech about what was expected of members and the strict rules and regulations of the club.
Then we all started creating, it wasn’t long before the herbal teas were flowing and the homemade cookies and cakes came out. Thoughts and feelings were also rife through out the meeting which surprised me as I assumed we would work in complete silence.
I gave an intense over worked detailed almost oppressive workshop on how to make Pom poms which resulted in tears and hugging.
Kimi and I both made pom poms and mine was clearly better. I also made a felted poster for my up and coming gathering on or near Halloween, I am having a scary sausage tasting party that I am going to call Halloweina, we will be able to try out different kinds of weinas from all over the Midlands!

It was great to meet up, and I have allot of other people who want to come but I am nervous about how I would fit people in if the group does grow, perhaps I could look into renting a village hall or a disused butchers. There were lots of top tips last night, my top tip for a gift is personalised shoulder pads, I shall be giving them a go this weekend. Below is what we made. I thank you. The next meeting is in ten days Piggytudour@gmail.com email to join ! virtual pen pal email members welcome.
